Starting with the sacred sites and megaliths of its
host country, the WOTA experience will investigate and
explain our ancestors' early attempts to express an
understanding of the world around them. It will show
how ancient societies viewed their own origins and how
they preserved and transmitted the special knowledge
and beliefs that they acquired from one generation to
the next. Looking at cross-disciplinary evidence, it
will explore key links and interconnections, highlight
areas of current dialogue and debate, and will ask whether
this ancient knowledge has any relevance for us today.
